William's cat, Princess

Photo Album

Update 9/27/08: Princess was put to sleep due to complications from Feline Leukemia. I loved her dearly, and I will miss her. I will keep this page up as a memorial to her.

Princess was a Christmas gift from my Aunt Nancy about two years ago. She volunteers at a no-kill shelter in Connecticut where she discovered Princess. As she tells the story, Princess rarely played with the other cats, and spent most her time staring out the window. While the other cats ran up to visitors, she largely ignored them. Hence, she stayed at that shelter for a long time.

Eventually, Aunt Nancy talked me into adopting her. Aunt Nancy took time off to escort Princess all the way from Connecticut Though my aunt hates to go through busy airports, she was willing to go to the busiest airport in the world just to give Princess a new home.

I'm glad she did. Princess has been a joy to have around. She loves to be petted and brushed. Sometimes I can get her to play with a mouse on a string. Princess has almost free reign over my apartment, and that's just fine with me.

To all those people who didn't adopt her. You missed out on a great cat.
