ISCABBS Posts
A long time ago, I used to go on to ISCABBS and write silly posts. Most of them were just my spin on the craziness that existed in that online community. These are the only posts that I saved.

"Wide Awake in Dreamland" (1995)
Welcome to Iowa City in the World of Darkness. Hollow One mage Paul Stevens encounters a female runaway. Soon he finds himself involved in local vampire politics. (This story is part of my Points of Dark Existence page.)
"Side One: Special Edition!" (1990)
In 1990, I was on the verge of graduating and with no prospects for a job. I'd also had a major falling out with the campus radicals. So I wasn't in a good mood when I wrote this. But it turned out to be one of my better stories. This was later published in a web magazine. One reader called it the best science fiction story ever written. I don't know about that.
"The Pentacrest Marxist" (1990)
I did this for a class as a parody of Marxists who have a religious fervor for their political beliefs. Let me say that today I am not a Marxist, and when I wrote this, it wasn't meant to be flattering towards other Marxists. Some people have taken this seriously, and they really should know better.

Non-fiction

Billy: A Memoir (1998)
A preview of my "Memoir" of President Clinton. Sure I've never met the President, but why should that stop me?
Article of Faith? (1998)
A short article on why I feel the Shroud of Turin is a fake.
