Glen Ellyn Woman plans to release nude pinup calendar of famous psychics

For most of her life, Jessica has believed. She's believed in UFOs since she was seven. She's believed in ghosts since she could read, and she's believed in her own psychic powers since age 13.

So she was naturally infuriated when found out about the Skepchick web site and their nude pinup calendars.

"Enlightened people know that science is just a white male-dominated meta-narration that is no different than any other meta-narration." Said Jessica. "Not only do they promote sexism, but they also use sex to promote a male-centric version of reality!"

Instead of writing a nasty comment on Skepchick, Jessica decided to start her own community blog, Psychick USA, and her own calendar. Jessica predicts the site to go online in July, followed by the release of the calendar in September.

While Skepchick founder Rebecca Watson has, in the past, used the proceeds from her calendar sales to help women attend James Randi's skeptic conventions, Jessica says the proceeds from her calendar will go towards a more worthy cause.

"I will create a fund that will allow practicing psychics to offer discounts to their female clients! Rebecca just wants women to listen to an old man tell them they aren't special. All women have special powers, and with the right training, they can achieve those special powers! I will give psychics the seed money to help new female clients start on a journey of enlightenment."

While Jessica expects famous psychics, like Uri Geller and Sylvia Browne to pose for the calendar, none them have sent their pictures to Jessica. Jessica, however, isn't worried.

"Everyday morning, I wish very hard that the great psychics will send me their artistic nude pictures. Then I use my psychic powers to monitor my progress. I'm pleased to say that everything will work out, one way or another." Jessica also explained that once the psychics realize that she's looking for "tasteful" pictures of them in the nude, they would rush their pictures to her.

Jessica also expects to find her panel of bloggers shortly before the launch of the site. "Our energies will draw us together, and well will lead other women to find the best psychic for them. Oh, and we'll also trash the bloggers on Skepchick! Hey, they trash my favorite psychics. I want to give them a taste of their own medicine!"

When we asked a local "skepchick" blogger to comment, she said she was too busy to talk to The Babbler because she had to help plan the Chicago Skepchick gathering. This reporter could hear her laughing as she hung up the phone.

The Babbler also tried to reach Watson for comment. Instead we received this automated reply from her.

Hello. Thank you for your e-mail. While I cannot reply to all of your e-mails, I do read all of them, and I appreciate them.

If you want me to speak at your gathering, please contact my agent.

If this is a marriage proposal, thank you, but I must decline. Since I receive hundreds of proposals everyday, I cannot send a personal rejection letter to every suitor. Please don't take this personally. It's just that I don't know you, and either:

    1. You live too far away from me.
    2. You're too old for me.
    3. You're too young for me.
    4. You're just too creepy.

No other skepchicks would talk on the record to The Babbler.
