When we started this web page, people said we were crazy. They told us that no one in Bolingbrook has web access, and besides, people can buy a copy of The Babbler every week. Our competitors, The Met and Sun, laughed at us as we launched our web page.

That didn't deter me. Back in 1965, people laughed at my father when he launched The Babbler. Those same skeptics told him that it was a waste of money to publish in Bolingbrook. Bolingbrook was just a passing fad, they told him, and Naperville would annex it in a couple of years. When my father first reported the existence of a UFO base in the village, people nervously chuckled at him. When he exposed Soviet mind-control probes in geosynchronous orbit above Bolingbrook, people said he should be locked up.

Today, Bolingbrook is still around, The Babbler is still being published, and the village has the largest urban UFO base in the world. The so-called skeptics were wrong.

They were also wrong about The Babbler's web page. I've been pleasantly surprised by the response this page has generated. More residents are discovering the stories that The Met and Sun won't dare print. As our motto says, the truth is unbelievable!

So far, we've only been able to put one story a month online. We're still testing things, but someday you can expect big changes! I still hope that this will be the place to find out the truth. Whether it's stray weredogs roaming our streets, Mayor Roger Claar's frequent vacations to Alpha Centauri, or gangs of reptoids terrorizing our neighborhoods, you will read about it only on The Babbler's web page!

Oh, and as for those Soviet satellites? They're still up there. The Soviets maybe have fooled Bush and Clinton with their "breakup," but we're weren't! We know the Soviets are still targeting Bolingbrook, and we'll do everything in our power to keep you informed!
