Jenni turns 100!

Another first from News from the Future!

(2076 C.E., MS-Media) Famed interactive-media star Jenni turned 100, and, as usual, the world watched. An estimated 2 billion people tuned into her hyper-sensory site to watch Jenni's birthday party.

Over 100 people were invited to the party, which included such media stars as David Hilton, and Donna Love. But the biggest guest was President Anderson, who addressed the party via the net. He praised Jenni for the joy she had brought to people, and also praised her for being a role-model for older Americans.

"Jenni was, and still is, a true pioneer. Back in the 20th Century, she decided to chronicle her life, 24 hours a day. What's amazing is that she did it using such crude technology. She had to use Web Cams that only updated every minute, and people could only download them from phone modems. Not only was she able to overcome these technological hurdles, but she was able to create a media that has persisted up to the present. Jenni, you have entertained us. You have shown us your sadness. You have let us share your happiness. You have enriched our lives. You have also helped create the interactive media technology that surrounds us. For that, our country, and the world thanks you. I think I speak for the entire world, when I say, happy birthday Jenni."

Jenni seemed to be in good spirits, considering she had just recovered from anti-senility surgery only a few days ago. She also seemed overwhelmed by the affection and love in the room.

"To be honest, I never expected to live to be 100." Said Jenni, who struggled not to cry. "I certainly would have taken better care of myself if I had known." After the crowd finished laughing, she wiggled her new artificial fingers. "I'd certainly have more of my original body parts than I do now."

After everyone sang "Happy Birthday" Jenni offered her secrets to living a long life.

"Eat lots of natural foods, have lots of friends, and don't be afraid to share your feelings with the world. Oh, and a great husband helps too. Geof was a great man. Oh, oh oh! I can't forget this one. Always have something to look forward to."

And what does Jenni look forward to?

"I promised Geof that I would see 'Star Wars: 100th Aniversery Edition' for him."
